The Planning Engineer – Project Risk Analysis is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules with a strong focus on schedule risk assessment and mitigation. The role involves applying Primavera P6 Risk Analysis (PRA) and Monte Carlo simulations to identify, quantify, and manage schedule uncertainties for large-scale EPC projects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, maintain, and update integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 in accordance with project execution strategies.
  • Perform schedule risk assessments utilizing Primavera P6 Risk Analysis (Risk Module).
  • Build and maintain risk registers in coordination with project teams, identifying threats and opportunities affecting project timelines.
  • Execute Monte Carlo simulations to assess schedule confidence levels and probabilistic completion dates.
  • Analyze risk outputs including P-values (P50, P80, P90) and critical risk drivers.
  • Provide recommendations for risk mitigation strategies and schedule optimization.
  • Prepare and present risk analysis reports, dashboards, and executive summaries for management and stakeholders.
  • Conduct what-if scenario analyses to evaluate the impact of schedule changes, delays, and mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure accurate risk inputs.
  • Support baseline schedule development, progress measurement, and forecasting with a risk-informed approach.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate project controls standards, procedures, and best practices.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
  • 5–10 years of experience in planning and project controls within EPC / Oil & Gas / Petrochemical projects.
  • Proven experience with Primavera P6 and Primavera Risk Analysis.
  • Strong hands-on experience performing Monte Carlo risk simulations for project schedules.
  • Solid understanding of project risk management methodologies and probabilistic scheduling concepts.
  • Experience working on mega projects or international EPC projects is highly preferred.
