Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and detailed 2D drawings for Roads and Highways projects using AutoCAD 
  • Convert engineering notes, specifications, rough sketches, and design information into professional engineering drawings in accordance with established drafting standards and procedures.
  • Produce engineering deliverables including general arrangement drawings, layout plans, profiles, cross sections, grading plans, construction drawings, structural details, and other project documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with design engineers to develop, review, and finalize design drawings for assigned projects.
  • Perform dimensional and routine engineering calculations required for drawing preparation and verify the accuracy of layouts and drawings, making revisions as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain accurate 2D and 3D road models, incorporating design updates and revisions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Interpret and apply technical manuals, engineering standards, supplier/manufacturer drawings, and applicable codes to ensure compliance with project and company requirements.
  • Ensure all drawings and models comply with CAD standards and ISO 19650 workflows and approval processes.
  • Maintain drawing files and documentation in accordance with project document control procedures using ProjectWise and/or ACC Navigator.
  • Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams to support the timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Perform other drafting and design-related responsibilities as assigned.

Key Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Roads and Highways design drafting 
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, and knowledge of Civil 3D, Navisworks, and ProjectWise and/or ACC Navigator.
  • Strong understanding of Roads and Highways design principles, drafting standards, and engineering drawing preparation.
  • Proven ability to develop accurate 2D drawings for road and highway infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with engineering standards, applicable codes, and ISO 19650 information management requirements.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and supplier/manufacturer documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deliver work within established deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with engineers and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coordinate with internal stakeholders and project teams
