Heart Failure ICU Nurse Practitioner - FT Nights - Houston
*Rotating weekends & holidays; No call
*12 hour shifts: 7p-7a (paid for 40 hours)
*AGACNP required
*2-3 years of RN or NP Critical Care experience required, Cardiology experience strongly preferred
*New NPs MUST have 2-3 years of RN experience with Critical Care ICU, Cardiac Care, fresh transplants &/or CV Recovery including working w/LVADs & ECMO
*Experience w/heart failure population
*Patient populations include VV/VA ECMO, Mechanical Circulatory Support, Heart Transplant, Lung Transplant, LVAD, Post-op Cardiac Surgery
*8% geographical differential for the medical center
*2-3 month credentialing process
Position responsible for providing comprehensive patient care by systemic assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, and in-hospital follow up, affecting direct patient care through the disease process according to the Texas Nurse Practice Act and our Health System Standards of Care.
Must-Haves
1. AGACNP - Adult Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
2. Current State of Texas license to practice professional nursing
3. Certification by the American Nurse Credentialing Center or National Certification Center in area of specialty or the American Association of Nurse Practitioners or the American Certification of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification
4. Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS); current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
5. Two (2) years clinical nursing experience (RN or NP) in area of Cardiology / Cardiac Care / Cardiovascular Nursing
