Physician's Assistant
Job Description:
Job Summary: Perform physical examinations; prescribe medications and medical services for patients of our treatment programs in collaboration with the Medical Director and multidisciplinary team. Assist Medical Director with psychiatric assessments and psychiatric needs of patients as directed.
Experience Requirement: PA with current North Carolina license. 5 years PA experience with at least 1 year experience in psych and/or chemical dependency facility
Duties and Responsibilities:
Patient Medical Care:
- Ensure patient history and physical examinations for newly admitted patients are performed professionally and timely with information gathered being loaded into the patient record
- Collaborates with Nursing Department.
Provide Medical Services:
- See patients who need medical attention and document these services in the medical record.
Medications:
- Prescribe medications for medical conditions including withdrawal from alcohol and/or other substances.
- Review psychiatric medications and diagnoses under the supervision of Pavillon Medical Director.
Administrative:
- Review applications for potential admission.
- Participate in Clinical Management Meetings (Medical Advisory Committee)
Multidisciplinary Team Functions:
- Participate in multidisciplinary staff meetings as needed
- Assist with medical procedures as needed
- Ensure input into multidisciplinary assessment and care planning processes and ensure appropriate documentation

Salary: $106,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year

- 8 hour shift
- Typical schedule is M-F 8-5, with a rotating on-call schedule.
