Our client in Prince Frederick MD is hiring a Clinical Director

It is a unique community-based detox/residential treatment facility which offers targeted, individualized treatment and compassionate, dignified care. With our stellar team of medical and clinical professionals, Avenues Recovery offers premier substance abuse treatment.

The Primary Responsibility of the Clinical Director is to fully manage all clinical

development and operations within the facility. He/ she will supervise all clinical staff,

maintaining the highest standards of effective clinical care while nurturing a joyful and

supportive atmosphere. He/ she will oversee all clinical documentation, ensuring consistent

completion and accuracy and facilitating communication with relevant parties when

necessary. He/ she will remain attuned to the nuances of overall facility atmosphere,

interacting directly with clients to keep them engaged, contented, and motivated throughout

the course of treatment. The Clinical Director will serve as an embodiment of Avenues

values, inspiring faith and courage through their leadership, and compelling both staff and

clients to strive for excellence in what they do each day.


Qualifications:

-Active state licensure in clinical and/or addiction related fields

-Prior leadership experience preferred


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Program

- Develop, maintain, and update a proper and complete curriculum of group and individual

therapy programs

- Work and oversee the clinical team to ensure that curriculum is relevant and current

- Oversee program scheduling of clinical team and client clinical related activities

Client Care

- Lead and coordinate to assure that all clients are in their proper levels of care for the

appropriate amounts of time

- Execute and cultivate the Avenues philosophy in all aspects of client engagement and

treatment planning, individual, group, and family interactions, staff development, clinical

programming, and interventions

Utilization Review

- Work closely with Avenues UR team to ensure documentation is on par with the Avenues

standards

- Ensure all clinical related documentation is appropriate and up to date

- Assist the Avenues UR team with the proper background, detail, and whatever else may

be needed to ensure proper lengths of stays for each client

- Potentially conduct reviews with insurance companies for specific cases that may arise

Client Relationships

- Be a leader for all clients on anything they can't or don't want to discuss with their

counselor

- Manage clients through crisis situations

- Reduce/eliminate clients leaving AMA

- Be proactive in educating clients on how to avoid negative behaviors

Staffing

- Recruit, develop and supervise all clinical staff

- Manage daily interdepartmental clinical staffing issues that arise

- Ensure high morale in the clinical staff

- Oversee training of clinical staff

- Ensure all clinical staff has proper and updated licensure and credentials
