We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and providing excellent support to employees regarding payroll-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payroll for all employees

  • Ensure accurate calculation of wages, taxes, and deductions

  • Maintain and update payroll records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements

  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee questions related to pay, benefits, and taxes

  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to internal departments as needed

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws

  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams on employee changes, benefits, and time tracking

  • Assist with year-end reporting, including W-2s, 1099s, and other filings

Requirements:

  • Must be located in the United States

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role

  • Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and labor compliance

  • Experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Gusto, QuickBooks Payroll, etc.)

  • High attention to detail and confidentiality

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
