K12 - Senior Embedded SW QNX - Production SW Optimization

Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Embedded Software Engineers to work on existing production software platforms, focusing on OS performance optimization while enabling next-generation features. The role requires strong expertise in QNX internals and hands-on experience with Qualcomm automotive SoCs, specifically the 8650 and 8775 platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize QNX OS performance for production automotive systems, including CPU, memory, storage, and IPC
• Enhance and integrate new features while maintaining production stability and quality
• Perform system-level profiling, tracing, and root-cause analysis
• Debug complex issues across OS, BSP, and middleware layers
• Collaborate with architecture, hardware, and validation teams to ensure system robustness
• Ensure compliance with automotive quality, safety, and performance requirements
• Support production releases, maintenance updates, and long-term platform stability

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong expertise in QNX Neutrino RTOS internals
• Scheduler, memory management, IPC, interrupts, and driver framework
• Hands-on experience with Qualcomm SoCs, preferably:

o Qualcomm 8650o Qualcomm 8775

• Proficient in C/C++ for embedded and system-level development
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization in real-time environments
• Familiarity with BSPs, device drivers, and low-level debugging tools
• Experience working with production automotive software is highly desirable

Nice to Have

• Experience with functional safety (ISO 26262) or ASPICE environments
• Knowledge of automotive middleware and diagnostic frameworks
• Experience with virtualization or hypervisor-based systems
