About the job DC01 - Senior Engineer – Automotive Tool Development

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to lead the development of a next-generation Automotive Diagnostics, ECU Flashing, and Calibration Tool. The candidate will be responsible for the complete software development lifecycle, including both frontend (GUI) and backend architecture, with a strong focus on UDS-based diagnostics and flashing and XCP-based measurement and calibration.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience developing professional automotive engineering tools like CANape, INCA, ATI Vision, or OEM diagnostic applications, real-time visualization, and hardware communication interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop a scalable desktop application for ECU Diagnostics, Flashing, and Calibration.
  • Develop intuitive and user-friendly GUI interfaces for diagnostics, calibration, measurement, and data visualization.
  • Implement UDS (ISO 14229) services for ECU diagnostics and software flashing.
  • Implement XCP over CAN/CAN FD for measurement, calibration, and data acquisition.
  • Integrate A2L Parser for calibration parameter management, measurement configuration, and signal browsing within the GUI.
  • Implement ELF File Parsing for symbol extraction, memory mapping, and calibration object handling.
  • Support ECU flashing using HEX, S19, BIN, and ELF file formats.
  • Integrate and validate communication with PCAN, Kvaser, and JTAG hardware interfaces.
  • Develop real-time data logging, signal plotting, monitoring dashboards, and reporting features.
  • Collaborate with embedded software, calibration, and validation teams to ensure seamless ECU integration.
  • Perform debugging, validation, and optimization of communication and flashing workflows.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience in developing GUI applications for Automotive Diagnostics and Calibration Tools.
  • Hands-on expertise in UDS, XCP, CAN, CAN FD, and ISO-TP protocols.
  • Experience working with A2L and ELF file parsing and integration.
  • Proficiency in C#, C++, Python, Qt, or .NET Framework.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript for web-based diagnostics or remote monitoring applications is desirable.
  • Experience with PCAN, Kvaser, JTAG, and automotive communication stacks.
  • Good understanding of ECU bootloaders, flash programming, and calibration workflows.
  • Experience in implementing real-time measurement, signal visualization, and data logging features.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Vector CANape, CANoe, ETAS INCA, ATI Vision, Raptor or similar automotive tools.
  • Knowledge of AUTOSAR, DoIP, Secure Flashing, and Automotive Cybersecurity.
  • Experience in developing OEM-grade diagnostic and calibration solutions.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Strong system architecture and software design skills.
  • Ability to work independently and drive technical decisions.
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
  • Experience leading development activities and mentoring engineers.
