Contract Details: Full time, permanent

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Anesthesia & Pain Management for a reputed client in IRAQ, who is dedicated to providing high-quality medical services to the local community.

The Head of Anesthesia & Pain Management will be responsible for overseeing the anesthesia and pain management services at the healthcare facility. This is a full-time position with a 2-year contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of anesthesia and pain management services, including pre-operative assessment, intra-operative care, and post-operative pain management
  • Develop and implement policies and protocols for anesthesia and pain management services in accordance with international standards and best practices
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during surgical procedures by providing appropriate anesthesia and pain management techniques
  • Supervise and provide guidance to a team of anesthesiologists and pain management specialists
  • Collaborate with other medical departments to ensure coordinated care for patients
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of anesthesia and pain management supplies and equipment
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in anesthesia and pain management techniques and technology
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff
  • Participate in the recruitment and training of new staff members
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
  • Adhere to all relevant healthcare laws, regulations, and ethical standards

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • Board certification in Anesthesia and Pain Management
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role in anesthesia and pain management
  • Excellent knowledge of anesthesia and pain management techniques and procedures
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
  • Willingness to relocate to Nasiriyah, Dhi Qar Governorate, Iraq for the duration of the contract
