We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Pediatrics & Neonatology for a reputed client in IRAQ, who is dedicated to providing high-quality medical services to the local community.
As the Head of Pediatrics & Neonatology, you will oversee all aspects of the pediatric and neonatal departments, including staffing, budgeting, and patient care. Your main responsibility will be to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care to our young patients. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures to maintain the highest standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and develop the pediatric and neonatal departments, including recruitment, training, and performance management of staff.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Develop and implement clinical protocols and guidelines to maintain high-quality care.
- Monitor and analyze departmental performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary changes.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients.
- Provide expert advice and support to other medical staff on complex cases.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and advancements in pediatric and neonatal care.
- Participate in departmental and hospital-wide meetings and committees.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the department.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree from an accredited university.
- Board certification in Pediatrics and/or Neonatology.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a pediatric or neonatal department of which 3 years is in the in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of current best practices and developments in pediatric and neonatal care.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
