Job brief

We are looking for a Food Runner to join a dynamic team and facilitate collaboration between the kitchen and wait staff.

Responsibilities:

  • collaboration between the kitchen and the Front of the House team
  • Providing all the members of the FOH team with necessary backup to ensure a highly efficient and effective service
  • Ensure the restaurant operating rules are consistently maintained
  • Has flexible approach to improving costumer experience, always following the FOH Sequence of Service
  • Learn about menu items and beverage list offerings to speak with customers and answer questions
  • Inform Manager on duty of any comment or perceived issue
  • Assist with the opening and closing duties, such as restocking the waiter stations, food pass and back area
  • Be punctual, always following company absence and lateness procedures if unable to attend work as scheduled
  • Attend meetings and training sessions as required by the management team and support the training of new colleagues
  • To take responsibility for continuous self-improvement through self-development and company product knowledge.

Requirements and skills

  • Experience as a Food Expeditor or similar entry-level role in a restaurant
  • Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules
  • Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours
  • Availability to work various shifts, including weekends
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment
