About this 482 Job Opportunity

Our Employers are currently seeking Boilermaker to join Engineering and Fabrication team working on the manufacture of large plate steel structures for the future wood processing mill at our Construction Site. The role is a permanent full time position.

Ideal Candidates

Completed their qualification and be competent in all aspects of their trade.

Have experience in steel fabrication/welding skills.

Have experience working in a busy hands-on environment.

Have excellent attention to detail, quality, accuracy, and safety.

Ability to interpret detail shop drawings and specifications.

Support and supervise apprentices to ensure appropriate training is received.

Experience working in a busy hands on environment.

Enthusiasm and the ability to multi-task.

Great communication skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels.

Maintain housekeeping standards, tools and equipment.

The following will be considered an advantage, but not essential for this position:

· Knowledge in plate fabrication.

· Basic dogging or rigging certification.

· Current forklift license.

· Hold EWP and Working at Heights certification.

· Experience operating overhead cranes.

As part of the selection process, applicants must be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical examination which includes functional, audiometric and drug and alcohol testing.

Main Responsibilities

• Ability to complete, read and interpret drawings and specifications for projects where required.
• Supervise and provide support to apprentices to ensure appropriate training is received.
• Coordinate any required resources to complete projects within agreed timeframes.
• Ensuring accuracy and quality of finished work.
• Maintain housekeeping standards, tools and equipment.
