Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced and passionate Cabinetmaker to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. As a Cabinetmaker, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing custom cabinetry, including kitchen and bathroom cabinets, wardrobes, counters, and other wood and laminate fittings.

Key Responsibilities:

- Examining drawings, work orders and sample parts to determine specifications

- Selecting and working with materials such as timber, veneers, particle board and synthetic wood

- Marking out, cutting and shaping wood

- Working from drawings and specifications to make furniture

- Making fittings for boats, caravans and other items where fine detail is required

- Assembling parts to form sections of furniture and completed articles

- Fitting hinges, locks, catches, drawers and shelves

- Making frames for chairs and couches

- May repair and refurbish furniture and antiques

Required Qualification & Work Experience:

• Have at least 1 year of work experience as a Cabinetmaker
• At least a relevant AQF Certificate III in Cabinet Making or higher qualification or equivalent or 3 years of relevant work experience to substitute for the qualification.
• English: IELTS score of 5.0 overall (or equivalent), and minimum of IELTS score 4.0 (or equivalent) for individual bands.
