Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Key Account Manager to join the European branch in Amsterdam. As a true sales tiger, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by identifying, targeting, and cultivating strategic key accounts. Your expertise in building and nurturing relationships, combined with your exceptional sales skills, will be crucial in expanding their market presence and achieving ambitious sales targets. The KAM will report into the Commercial Director and will be part of a sales team of 4 (and growing!).

Responsibilities:

1. Key Account Development:

  • Identify, prioritize, and target key accounts in alignment with company goals and market segments.

  • Build and execute strategic account plans to maximize sales opportunities and market penetration.

  • Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers within target accounts to understand their needs

2. Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Utilize a proactive and innovative approach to identify and create new sales opportunities within key accounts.

  • Develop tailored proposals, presentations, and product demonstrations that effectively communicate the value proposition

  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and agreements to secure profitable sales deals

3. Market Analysis and Insights:

  • Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and market developments to identify potential growth areas and adapt strategies accordingly.

  • Provide valuable market insights and feedback to internal teams to inform product development, marketing, and business strategies.

4. Relationship Management:

  • Foster long-lasting, trust-based relationships with key accounts through regular communication, exceptional customer service, and responsiveness to their needs.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product Development, and Customer Service, to ensure seamless customer experiences.

5. Sales Performance Tracking:

  • Establish and maintain accurate records of sales activities, account information, and progress toward goals using CRM systems and reporting tools.

  • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

6. Goal Achievement:

  • Meet and exceed assigned sales targets, revenue quotas, and performance metrics on a consistent basis.

  • Continuously seek opportunities to optimize sales processes and enhance efficiency.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field

  • Proven track record of at least 3 years in a sales role, with a focus on key account management and new business development.

  • Familiar with excel, PowerPoint and/ or keynote

  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive market environment.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical abilities to understand market dynamics and customer behavior.

  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and proactive with a "hunter" mindset.

  • Able to use CRM software and other sales tools.

  • Knowledge of the perfume or luxury goods industry is a plus.
