REOB Technician
A REOB technician is a fire safety specialist who inspects, maintains and certifies small fire extinguishers and emergency lighting.
REOB stands for the Fire Extinguishing Equipment Maintenance Accreditation Scheme. A REOB technician is certified to check whether fire extinguishers and fire hose reels are still working properly and comply with legal requirements.

As a REOB Technician, you'll be the main point of contact for the maintenance of fire extinguishers, emergency lighting and first-aid kits. You'll work independently with a wide range of clients and ensure that everything complies with current laws and regulations. Thanks to your professional expertise, clients can rely on safe buildings and well-maintained facilities.
You'll be given plenty of freedom, your own company car and every opportunity to develop your skills further within the world of fire safety.
What will you be doing?
- Carrying out independent maintenance on portable fire extinguishers.
- Checking emergency lighting and first-aid kits.
- Advising customers on maintenance and safety.
- Digitally recording work carried out.
- Identifying areas for improvement and additional work.
- Working with a variety of customers in the Randstad
- On projects in the non-residential, retail and residential construction sectors
- In an informal working environment with short lines of communication and a high level of trust
What you'll bring to the role
- Experience as an REOB Technician or Fire Extinguishing Systems Technician.
- VCA certification (or a willingness to obtain it).
- An independent and customer-focused approach to work.
- Category B driving licence.
- An interest in fire safety.
- Good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.
