Position Title: Physiotherapist

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Physiotherapist to join our allied health team at Carnes Hill Doctors. In this role, you will provide expert physiotherapy services to our patients, working collaboratively with general practitioners and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care. You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, as well as offering preventative and rehabilitative support to improve patient health and functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive physical assessments to evaluate patients musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
- Review and interpret patient medical histories to inform treatment planning.
- Develop and implement tailored physiotherapy treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
- Utilise a variety of therapeutic modalities and techniques, including manual therapy and exercise therapy.
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans as required to achieve the best outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families about their conditions, rehabilitation strategies, and self-management techniques.
- Provide advice on injury prevention and lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborate with GPs and other allied health professionals to deliver integrated patient care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to coordinated care plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Prepare and communicate reports on patient progress and treatment outcomes to the healthcare team.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and stay informed about advancements in physiotherapy practice.
- Adhere to professional standards and practice guidelines set by AHPRA.
About you:
- Hold a Bachelors or Masters degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
- Be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Physiotherapist.
- 2-3 years of clinical experience in physiotherapy, preferably in a primary care or general practice setting.
Skills:
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic abilities.
- Expertise in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and clinic management systems.
