Position: Vice President of Land Development
Location: Denver, Colorado
Compensation: $180,000 - $200,000 Annually

Role Overview:

We are seeking an accomplished Vice President of Land Development to spearhead our land development operations across the Greater Denver area. This role requires a dynamic leader adept at business growth, team management, and project oversight. The ideal candidate will drive strategic initiatives, cultivate new and existing client relationships, ensure project excellence, and uphold company financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Expansion: Foster and enhance business opportunities in land development, spanning residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
  • Client Engagement: Lead business development efforts by nurturing current client relationships and pursuing new business prospects.
  • Entitlement Support: Provide strategic guidance and problem-solving expertise to clients, supporting land development entitlement processes.
  • Technical Marketing: Contribute to business development through the creation of compelling qualification documents and presentations.
  • Quality Control: Oversee the quality assurance of project deliverables, ensuring adherence to company standards.
  • Strategic Planning: Formulate and execute both intermediate and long-term strategic plans for the land development sector.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage operational budgets, including justifying financial allocations.
  • Financial Accountability: Oversee a $10 million revenue stream, ensuring profitability and financial performance.
  • Reporting: Regularly update senior management with comprehensive reports on division activities and performance.
  • Collaborative Participation: Engage in monthly operational meetings with senior leaders and the business solutions team.
  • Community Involvement: Actively participate in industry associations and local civic organizations to bolster community relations.
  • Leadership Vision: Define and drive the vision and culture for the land development division.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Licensing: Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado.
  • Experience: At least 15 years of expertise in land development, including 5 years in a leadership role within the Denver market.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a proven track record of business development and leadership.
