About the Client
Client is a Web3 infrastructure and protocol development company building decentralized crypto-economic systems and mission-critical validator and node infrastructure across multiple blockchain networks.
Role Summary
As an Infrastructure Engineer (Staking), you will architect, deploy, and maintain secure, reliable, and scalable validator infrastructure across multiple blockchain ecosystems. You will work across cloud and bare-metal environments, implement automation and observability, and collaborate with protocol and infrastructure teams to maximize uptime, security, and staking rewards while engaging with the broader staking and open-source community.
Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and monitor globally distributed blockchain validators across multiple ecosystems (e.g., Ethereum, Polkadot, Aztec, Celestia and others)
- Own the infrastructure and services you maintain, including upgrades, key management, slashing mitigation, and reward optimization
- Implement automation around builds, deployments, and observability
- Design, implement, and document procedures related to infrastructure operations
- Participate in the on-call rotation, respond to incidents, and ensure high uptime, performance, and service quality
- Work directly with internal node development teams to help resolve infrastructure-related issues
- Collaborate with the wider community to build, expand, and scale Clients staking infrastructure based on new trends and opportunities
Requirements
- Hands-on experience architecting and operating different types of blockchain nodes, including RPC and validator nodes
- Solid understanding of securing validator keys
- Practical proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Go, Rust, Python, or similar)
- Demonstrable experience with modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and CI/CD best practices
- 2+ years of experience working in Web3 with a solid understanding of decentralization, security, and diversification of blockchain infrastructure
- 3+ years of experience managing resources in AWS, GCP, or Azure
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with bare-metal cloud providers (e.g., Hetzner, OVH, Contabo or similar)
- 3+ years of experience implementing observability and incident response best practices
- 3+ years of experience administering and maintaining Linux hosts
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to document and convey clear technical details
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a remote team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, or Ansible
- Experience running rollup and/or zero-knowledge (ZK) infrastructure
- Understanding at least two of the following domains: Web Security, Web3 Security, Cloud Security, Systems Security, Applied Cryptography
