About the Client
Client operates in aviation logistics and coordinates air and ground transportation services for its clients.
Role Summary
As Manager of Logistics Dispatch, you will oversee logistics department activities, including air and ground transportation coordination and Part-135 vendor database maintenance. You will ensure 24/7 logistics coverage, manage communications with clients and leadership, and maintain accurate documentation for all logistics movements.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the on-call schedule for the logistics dispatch team to ensure 24/7 departmental coverage.
- Participate in the logistics dispatch call schedule from 0700-0700 as needed to support clients.
- Monitor incoming communications from clients and the logistics coordination team for operational requests.
- Coordinate with executive leadership to secure air providers and vendors to complete logistical operations.
- Organize ground transportation logistics for all associated air movements.
- Communicate with executive leadership regarding active cases, questions, and issues.
- Provide timely feedback and communication to clients regarding logistics movements.
- Maintain ongoing communication throughout each movement with all necessary parties.
- Complete documentation for each logistics movement, including DALs, the Logistics Logbook, requisition forms, and other required documentation.
- Facilitate data entry into the Part-135 provider database.
- Maintain provider profiles, including updating and acquiring recorded fields.
- Maintain required organizational documentation and expectations for transportation in Google Drive folders.
- Participate in transportation department team meetings.
- Participate in potential client or vendor sales presentations at the discretion of executive leadership.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of full-time aviation logistics experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to perform work responsibilities for extended hours.
- Ability to keep accurate records, follow guidelines, draft policies, and deliver technical training.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 or more years of aviation logistics experience.
