Florist

JOB PURPOSE

The Florist is responsible for creating and maintaining floral arrangements to enhance the ambiance of the Divan Erbil Hotel. This includes designing eye-catching displays, maintaining fresh flowers, and contributing to the overall aesthetic appeal of the hotel, ensuring guest satisfaction.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Design and arrange floral displays for guest areas, events, and special occasions.
• Ensure arrangements align with the hotel's brand and style.
• Regularly check, water, and maintain freshness of all floral arrangements.
• Remove and replace flowers as necessary.
• Monitor stock levels of flowers, vases, and other related materials.
• Order fresh flowers and supplies in coordination with the Housekeeping Manager.
• Collaborate with event planners to provide floral decorations for weddings, meetings, and banquets.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in accordance with health and safety standards.
• Interact with guests when needed to provide floral arrangements or gifts, ensuring excellent customer service.

YOU SHOULD HAVE

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a florist in a hospitality setting or similar environment.
• Experience working with fresh flowers, plants, and artificial arrangements.
• Strong creativity and an eye for design and detail.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of floral maintenance techniques.
• Basic budgeting and inventory management skills.
• Ability to speak, read, write good level of English
• Knowledge of current floral trends and techniques.
• Flexibility to accommodate last-minute changes and requests.
