Project Director - Major Projects

Role Overview

A newly created, high-stakes leadership role in a rapidly expanding mining group. As Project Director, you'll be responsible for delivering major mining projects from concept to completion, on time and on budget. You'll report directly to the CEO, driving results with zero tolerance for failure. This role is residential in the Middle East.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of major mining projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and aligned with corporate strategy.
• Oversee feasibility studies and ensure all decisions are rooted in solid technical and financial analysis.
• Report to CEO and Board, keeping projects aligned with organizational vision and securing necessary approvals.
• Deliver projects with uncompromising quality and resolve execution challenges swiftly.
• Build and maintain high-level relationships with government, investors, contractors, and communities.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing team to deliver results and uphold a culture of excellence.
• Ensure projects comply with all health, safety, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors in Engineering, Project Management, or related field. Masters preferred.
• Experience: 15+ years in project management, leading large-scale mining projects.
• Skills: Advanced planning, financial management, and in-depth mining industry knowledge.
