Engineering Manager

Role Objective:

A growing hardrock mining company in the Middle East is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Manager to lead the engineering team for a large-scale copper and gold project. This role focuses on ensuring the timely, efficient, and high-quality execution of engineering strategies and processes across all project stages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Develop and implement the Engineering Execution Plan (EEP) and contribute to Project Execution Plans (PEP).
• Ensure engineering tasks are completed on schedule, meet quality standards, and manage change effectively.
• Coordinate with other disciplines (Process Engineering, Project Management, Procurement, etc.).
• Oversee design reviews, technical meetings, and value optimization options.
• Ensure compliance with legal, environmental, and safety standards.
• Provide technical guidance and approve vendor documentation.
• Manage procurement packages and ensure alignment with project objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering (Masters preferred).
• 20+ years of experience in engineering, particularly in large-scale mining or minerals projects.
• Expertise in engineering systems, mineral processing, and project lifecycle management.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage complex, multidisciplinary projects.

Desired Skills:

• PMP certification (preferred).
• Experience in design, feasibility studies, and construction supervision.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
