As a Senior Mining Foreman, you will play a key role in the day-to-day underground operations, ensuring safety, productivity, and efficiency across the project. What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead and manage underground mining crews to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations

  • Supervise daily mining activities, including drilling, blasting, mucking, and hauling, ensuring compliance with operational and safety standards

  • Oversee the implementation of operational plans, ensuring that production targets are met and resources are utilized effectively

  • Provide hands-on leadership and guidance to operators, shift supervisors, and teams, promoting a culture of accountability and teamwork

  • Monitor operational performance and identify areas for continuous improvement, implementing corrective actions as necessary

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, prioritizing risk management at all times

  • Liaise with the technical services team to ensure alignment of operational activities with mine plans and objectives

  • Manage workforce schedules, ensuring optimal resource allocation for productivity and efficiency

  • Report on performance, safety, and operational challenges to senior management


What You'll Bring to the Table:

  • Significant experience in underground mining operations, with a focus on base metals

  • Proven track record in a senior supervisory or foreman role, ideally in large underground projects

  • In-depth knowledge of underground mining processes, including drilling, blasting, and mucking

  • Strong leadership abilities with experience managing diverse and multi-skilled teams in a challenging environment

  • Ability to work closely with engineers, supervisors, and operators to optimize production and resolve operational issues

  • A hands-on approach to leadership, with the ability to lead by example and drive high performance

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with experience managing stakeholder expectations

  • Experience with mining software and operational tracking systems is an advantage

  • No formal degree required; however, significant relevant experience in a similar or more senior role is essential
