Lead Exploration Geologist

We are seeking a Lead Exploration Geologist to be a company's technical geologist holding deep expertise in orogenic and Birimian gold systems, in Africa. This is not a management role but a senior, mentoring position focused on technical guidance and exploration excellence.

You will work closely with on-site teams, reviewing and interpreting geological data, advancing targets, and improving exploration strategy through hands-on support and technical mentoring. The ideal candidate brings academic depth (MSc or PhD in Geology or related field) and field experience across early-stage to advanced exploration programs.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in geology or a related discipline

• Strong track record in orogenic gold systems

• Experience in the Birimian greenstone belts preferred

• Field-based mindset with a willingness to travel 3040%

• Comfortable mentoring junior geologists and improving technical standards
