Drill & Blast Superintendent

We're seeking a hands-on Drill & Blast Superintendent to oversee underground operations on a contractor-run site. You'll be the technical authority on-site, ensuring quality, safety, and performance standards are met while bridging the gap between site teams and the owner's technical group.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily UG drill and blast activities, ensuring compliance with design and schedule
• Review and optimise contractor performance across development and production drilling
• Monitor fragmentation, dilution, advance rates, and charging practices
• Own the drill and blast design process from layouts to QA/QC and reconciliation
• Act as the site-level owners rep, working closely with contractor crews and site leadership
• Troubleshoot issues and implement changes to improve safety, cost, and cycle times
• Collaborate with geology, planning, and ventilation teams to maintain alignment

What You Bring

• Mining engineering degree
• 10+ years UG experience with strong D&B background
• Previous expat experience or exposure to remote/contractor-heavy operations
• Solid grasp of blasting software, charge design, and QA/QC systems
• Strong communicator who can lead from the front and work across cultures
• Committed to safe production and continuous improvement
