Technical Services Manager - Underground

As Technical Services Manager - Underground, you will play a key role in leading technical services for underground operations, ensuring high standards of safety, productivity, and efficiency. What You'll Be Doing:

• Oversee technical services for underground mining operations, ensuring the effective integration of mine planning, geology, and engineering

• Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers, geologists, and technicians to support daily mining activities

• Drive the development and execution of short- and long-term mine plans, ensuring alignment with production and cost objectives

• Collaborate closely with operations, maintenance, and safety teams to ensure optimal mining processes and address operational challenges

• Lead the development of design modifications, mine development plans, and equipment performance reviews to improve operational efficiency

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards, prioritizing risk management and safety protocols

• Provide mentorship to junior staff, fostering skill development and leadership capabilities

What You'll Bring to the Table:

• 10+ years of experience in underground mining, with a focus on base metals

• Strong background in technical services, mine planning, or mine engineering within an underground environment

• Proven experience leading and developing technical teams in a challenging and remote environment

• Expertise in mine planning software (e.g., Deswik, MineSight) and geological data integration

• In-depth knowledge of underground mining operations, including equipment, methods, and safety standards

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to influence operational outcomes

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across multiple disciplines
