Position: Tooling Technician

Direct Recruit Agency is currently seeking a skilled Tooling Technician to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. As a Tooling Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of tools and equipment used in the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition

- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with tools and equipment, and make necessary repairs or replacements

- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed

- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and implement improvements to tooling and equipment

- Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and tools, and order replacements as needed

- Conduct regular inspections to ensure tools and equipment comply with safety standards

- Train and mentor other team members on the proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment

- Stay up-to-date with advancements in tooling technology and make recommendations for upgrades or replacements as needed

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent, with technical training in tooling or a related field

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Tooling Technician in a manufacturing environment

- Strong knowledge of various types of tools and equipment used in manufacturing processes

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics

- Injection molding experience

- Mechanical and Electrical aptitude

- Hydraulic and pneumatic experience

- Two plus years of mold maintenance experience.

- Experience with troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as needed

- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
