Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Coordinator (RN) to join our team and work in our Med/Surg department. The Clinical Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the unit, managing patient care, and providing support to the nursing staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Med/Surg nursing and possess excellent leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the nursing staff in the Med/Surg department
- Ensure high-quality patient care is being provided by monitoring and evaluating patient outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Manage staffing and scheduling for the unit, ensuring adequate coverage at all times
- Conduct regular staff meetings and provide ongoing education and training to the nursing staff
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
- Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the state of practice
- 5 years of Medical Surgical (Med/ Surg) nursing experience required, with a minimum
of 2 years charge nurse/supervisory experience preferred
Special qualifications; Evidence of leadership abilities required excellent communication and computer skills; Required ability to function in stressful situations Verbal ability to present information and computer skills.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Med/Surg nursing
- Previous leadership or management experience preferred
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of current nursing practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- BSN preferred, but not required
