A leading food manufacturing operation is seeking an Assistant Plant Engineer to support maintenance and engineering operations in a high-volume production environment.

This onsite opportunity offers $115,000-$140,000 plus bonus potential and relocation assistance for qualified candidates.

The ideal candidate will have strong food manufacturing experience, a maintenance and reliability mindset, and hands-on knowledge of PLC systems and ammonia refrigeration.

Responsibilities:

• Lead capital improvement projects from planning through execution
• Support maintenance operations to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime
• Implement and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs
• Drive TPM and continuous improvement initiatives
• Manage maintenance scheduling, workforce planning, and team performance
• Develop and monitor maintenance KPIs
• Ensure compliance with safety, food safety, and environmental standards
• Collaborate with plant leadership to improve operational performance
• Coach, mentor, and develop maintenance personnel

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience
• 2+ years of leadership experience
• PLC troubleshooting and controls experience
• Ammonia refrigeration experience
• Food manufacturing background
• Experience with CMMS systems
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred:

• Meat processing experience
• Kill floor or harvest floor experience
• High-volume production environment experience
• Change management experience

Compensation & Benefits:

• $115,000-$140,000 base salary
