Overview:

We're seeking an experienced SAP IS-U Billing Consultant to support utility industry initiatives focused on billing, invoicing, and meter-to-cash operations.

This role will serve as a key functional lead responsible for solution design, configuration, testing, and stakeholder engagement across SAP IS-U Billing & Invoicing processes. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in utility billing operations, tariff modeling, SAP IS-U configuration, and integration with Device Management and FICA.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver Functional Design Documents (FDDs), configuration, and Functional Unit Testing (FUT).

Configure and customize SAP IS-U Billing & Invoicing solutions.

Design and support billing master data, billing schemas, and rate models.

Support complex billing scenarios including budget billing, RTP billing, TOU billing, collective billing, and bill simulation.

Manage exception handling, unbilled revenue processes, and mass billing jobs.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and recommend best-practice solutions.

Work closely with offshore teams, developers, and project stakeholders.

Support integration efforts with Device Management, FICA, and related SAP IS-U modules.

Participate in customer meetings and provide functional leadership throughout project delivery.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.

8+ years of SAP IS-U experience.

Deep expertise in SAP IS-U Billing & Invoicing.

Strong understanding of the utility meter-to-cash lifecycle within Electricity and Gas environments.

Experience configuring billing master data, billing schemas, and complex tariff models.

Knowledge of budget billing, RTP billing, TOU billing, bill simulation, collective billing, and unbilled revenue processes.

Experience with SAP IS-U Print Workbench, Smart Forms, and Adobe Forms.

Experience integrating with SAP IS-U Device Management and FICA.

Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience facilitating workshops, requirements gathering, and solution design sessions.

Preferred Qualifications:

SAP S/4HANA Utilities experience.

SAP Fiori experience.

Experience troubleshooting OData services and web service integrations.

Utility digital transformation project experience.

Experience coordinating offshore development teams.

Electricity or Gas utility industry experience.

Compensation & Benefits:

Pay Rate: $77/hour
