Role Overview
A market-leading consumer services company generating more than $500M in annual revenue is seeking a Vice President of Marketing / Customer Acquisition to lead and scale its full customer growth engine.
This executive leadership role reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for overseeing digital acquisition strategy, growth marketing, strategic partnerships, AI-driven search optimization, brand visibility, and performance marketing initiatives across the organization.
The ideal candidate is a highly strategic and data-driven marketing executive with deep expertise scaling customer acquisition channels within competitive, premium, or luxury-focused markets. This individual should bring strong leadership capabilities, operational discipline, and a proven ability to drive measurable growth through modern digital acquisition strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Growth Marketing & Customer Acquisition
Lead and execute full-funnel customer acquisition strategies across digital channels
Oversee SEM, paid search, SEO, and AI-driven search optimization initiatives
Develop scalable acquisition strategies aligned with company growth targets
Optimize customer acquisition cost (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), and attribution performance
Continuously analyze and improve channel performance across paid and organic acquisition efforts
AI & Digital Strategy
Drive Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies to improve AI search visibility
Implement AI-driven marketing initiatives and performance optimization tools
Leverage analytics and automation to improve campaign efficiency and scalability
Identify emerging trends in AI-powered discovery and customer acquisition behaviors
Strategic Partnerships & Brand Growth
Identify, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships with premium brands
Expand referral and partnership channels supporting long-term growth
Collaborate with PR teams and agencies to strengthen brand authority
Support placement opportunities across high-profile media and marketing channels
Ensure brand positioning aligns with luxury and premium market standards
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing marketing and acquisition teams
Build a culture centered around accountability, execution, and data-driven decision-making
Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic growth planning
Support operational scaling and cross-functional alignment across the organization
Budgeting & Performance Management
Manage multi-million-dollar acquisition budgets
Forecast marketing performance and growth opportunities
Analyze campaign ROI and optimize marketing investments
Deliver measurable growth and operational performance improvements
Requirements
Minimum 10 years of experience in growth marketing or customer acquisition
Bachelor's degree required
MBA or related advanced degree preferred
Proven experience scaling digital acquisition channels
Strong SEM, SEO, and paid acquisition expertise
Experience managing large marketing budgets and performance metrics
Demonstrated leadership experience managing high-performing teams
Strong analytical, forecasting, and strategic planning abilities
AI-focused mindset with examples of AI-driven marketing innovation
Excellent communication and executive leadership skills
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Must be local to Boston, MA and able to work onsite 3 days per week

Compensation & Benefits
Avg Base Salary: $275,000â$300,000
Bonus Potential: Up to $150,000
