Role Overview

A commercial facilities maintenance organization is seeking an experienced Mobile Engineer 2 to support HVAC/R, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and building maintenance operations across multiple facilities in the West Chester, OH area.

This role is ideal for experienced HVAC/R professionals with strong troubleshooting abilities, hands-on commercial maintenance experience, and expertise working with 480V 3-phase electrical systems. Candidates must be comfortable working independently in the field, responding to emergency service calls, and traveling between assigned facilities.

Key Responsibilities

HVAC/R & Mechanical Systems

Maintain and repair commercial HVAC/R systems and refrigeration equipment

Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC/R system issues

Perform emergency repairs and rapid response maintenance

Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and servicing

Repair mechanical and production equipment systems

Ensure optimal system performance and operational efficiency

Electrical Systems

Troubleshoot and repair electrical distribution systems

Work extensively with 480V 3-phase electrical systems

Diagnose electrical issues safely and professionally

Maintain compliance with electrical safety procedures and codes

Service electrical equipment and components

Facility & Building Maintenance

Perform plumbing and general facility maintenance repairs

Conduct building inspections and maintenance assessments

Support facility operations and overall upkeep

Identify maintenance concerns and recommend corrective actions

Administrative & Documentation Duties

Update work orders and maintenance records within CMMS systems

Maintain accurate documentation and service reports

Communicate effectively with customers and management

Track materials, repairs, and maintenance activities

Attend safety and operational meetings as required

Requirements

Minimum 4+ years of commercial HVAC/R maintenance experience

Strong 480V 3-phase electrical troubleshooting experience required

Refrigeration systems maintenance and repair experience

Building and facility maintenance background

Valid driver's license required

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Universal EPA/CFC Certification preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days

Ability to travel between facilities and support on-call operations

Preferred Qualifications

Commercial refrigeration experience

Multi-skilled maintenance background

HVAC trade school or apprenticeship training

CMMS systems experience (Corrigo preferred)

Strong communication and customer service abilities

Experience supporting emergency maintenance operations

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 80 lbs

Ability to climb ladders and work from heights

Comfortable working in hot and cold environments

Frequent kneeling, bending, climbing, and overhead work

Ability to travel between job sites regularly

Compensation & Schedule

Avg Pay: $34.00/HR

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM EST

Contract Length: 3 Months
