Role Overview

A precision medical device manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer Technician to support CNC programming, machining operations, process optimization, and production leadership within a regulated manufacturing environment.

This senior-level role is responsible for CNC process ownership, machine setup, programming, inspection support, technical leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives across Mazak and Swiss machining platforms.

The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on machining expertise, advanced CNC programming skills, and experience leading machinists within high-precision manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

CNC Programming & Machining

Define machining processes and develop CNC programs for production

Set up, optimize, and troubleshoot Mazak and Swiss CNC machines

Support production efficiency, quality, and machining reliability

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across machining operations

Support new product introductions and manufacturing process development

Technical Leadership

Lead machinists and manufacturing assistants within assigned production cell

Provide technical guidance and process support to production teams

Ensure adherence to production schedules and quality standards

Support training and development within machining operations

Maintain strong communication across manufacturing and engineering teams

Quality & Inspection

Perform First Article Inspections and precision quality inspections

Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications

Maintain process controls, setup documentation, and SOPs

Ensure compliance within regulated manufacturing environments

Support on-time and high-quality production output

Documentation & Process Control

Create and maintain machining documentation and setup instructions

Develop process improvement strategies to increase efficiency and reliability

Support production tracking, quality reporting, and process validation

Maintain organized and accurate technical documentation

Requirements

Minimum 8 years of production machining experience

Minimum 5 years of CNC programming experience

Expert-level CNC machining and programming skills

Strong CAD/CAM software proficiency

Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge

Experience leading machinists within production environments

Strong troubleshooting and process optimization abilities

Preferred Qualifications

Manufacturing Engineering Technology or related technical degree

Medical device or regulated manufacturing experience

Mastercam, CamWorks, or SolidWorks CAM experience

PartMaker experience for Swiss machining

Mazatrol programming experience for Mazak machines

Experience supporting high-precision manufacturing operations

Work Environment

Initial 30-day first shift training period

Multiple shifts available:

Compensation & Benefits

Avg Salary: $75,000–$120,000
