Assistant Manager, Cloud Platform (Azure)

 Job Description:

Purpose

Lead and manage Cloud (Azure) Operation team to support Our company Group and BU to achieve business targets and goals;

To build a deep understanding of key business areas around the region to plan, develop and implement) infrastructure solutions that will deliver corporate and service specific objectives and meet the strategic priorities of the BU;

Develop, and maintain infrastructure automation solutions using Ansible/ Terraform/ Power Platform to support cloud operation;

Become a domain area expert in Cloud management.

Key accountabilities

  • Evaluate, respond to, and resolve service issues, design tools and automation to prevent problem recurrence;
  • Assist all support teams and services with cloud (AZURE) questions, systems settings, problem resolution;
  • Provide support to manage security-related settings of cloud (AZURE) environment;
  • Work with CCOE, developers, security team and other project teams to create and maintain the cloud (AZURE) infrastructure;
  • Participate to create and maintain automated monitoring and reporting of cloud (AZURE) infrastructure health, performance and cost control;
  • Manage the monitoring, updating, optimization, redundancy, stability of cloud (AZURE) systems;
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code to improve accuracy and efficiency of cloud (AZURE) operations;
  • Participate in any cloud (AZURE) projects deemed necessary by the organization;
  • Ensure the team follow the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in day-to-day operations;
  • Lead the cloud (AZURE) operation team to provide day-to-day support of Our company Group & BU and 7x24 hours support for business systems and ensure the shared service provided meet defined SLA;
  • Manage implementation of cloud program by coordinating all project management activities;
  • Establishing strong relations and partnerships with major vendors and system integrators to work with them in maximizing Our company investment in new technology.

Key performance indicators

  • Service Level Management Management of ongoing cloud (Azure) services in accordance with service targets, and management of incidents;
  • Assist cloud (Azure) related projects and support existing Business Units in accordance to project plans and budget;
  • Compliance to IT Risk & Security policies, ensuring that cloud (AZURE) services comply with security requirements;
  • Assist to support the delivery of cloud (Azure) architecture and solutions in all Our company markets to improve efficiency, standardization and adoption across countries;
  • Support to rollout cloud projects in all Our company markets.

Qualifications / experience

Degree holder in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent with more than 6 years of relevant experience which 2 years in managerial level

ITIL foundation certification with relevant experience in this area

  • Holder of professional qualification(s) preferred, e.g. Azure certification is highly desirable;

Solid experience in in regional hybrid environment, multi availability zones and multi landing zones environment

Experience and knowledge of containers, orchestration tools and container administration, e.g. AZURE AKS, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as code (Ansible / Terraform) and Low-Code development (Power Platform) etc

Knowledge & technical skills

Project management skill is preferred.

  • Advanced level in cloud (AZURE) services, preferable with knowledge in multiple AZURE services such as Compute, Storage, Containers, Serverless, Analytics, Database, Management & Governance;
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools like Ansible, Terraform;
  • Knowledge of Devops and Low-Code/No-Code solution like Power Automation/Power BI.
  • Ability to participate in fast-paced DevOps and Engineering teams within Scrum agile processes;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
  • Perseverance and rigor in the tasks to accomplish;
  • Ability to respect his commitments, prioritize tasks and follow procedure;
  • Oriented on teamwork, collaboration and knowledge sharing;
  • Excellent problem solving skills;
  • Autonomy.
