Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of our growing manufacturing organization. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supervising accounting staff, managing the month-end close process, and supporting financial reporting and compliance efforts.

The Accounting Manager will serve as a key leader within the Accounting Department, working closely with the Controller and cross-functional departments to ensure efficient financial operations and adherence to company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and capable of leading a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience with NetSuite ERP is required.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage the daily operations of the Accounting Department, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll support, and General Ledger activities

· Supervise, coach, and develop accounting team members to ensure high performance and professional growth

· Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes

· Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness

· Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and financial reporting systems

· Prepare and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules

· Monitor cash flow activity and assist with forecasting and budgeting processes

· Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls

· Assist the Controller with audits, tax reporting, and regulatory compliance requirements

· Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, Sales, Logistics, and Human Resources to resolve accounting-related issues

· Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and increased efficiency within accounting functions

· Support ERP system optimization and ensure accurate financial data management within NetSuite

· Assist in developing and documenting accounting policies and procedures

· Provide financial analysis and reporting support to leadership as needed

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required

· 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment

· Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience

· Required: Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP

· Strong understanding of General Ledger accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial analysis

· Knowledge of GAAP and internal control practices

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

· Excellent communication and leadership abilities

· Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

· CPA designation preferred but not required

· Experience supporting manufacturing cost accounting functions

· Experience with inventory accounting and fixed asset management

· Experience implementing process improvements or ERP enhancements

· On-site role supporting a 24/7 manufacturing operation
