About the job Agile Delivery Manager
As a Delivery Manager you will work to build agile and lean practices across the team, ensuring scrum team health & happiness and delivery support.
The role is based in the Technology Department which is responsible for the delivery and operation of products and services.
Responsibilities
- Delivery Manager for multiple product teams coaching the teams in self-management, cross functionality, continuous improvement.
- Coach the Teams, Product Owners and the wider organization in value delivery backlog creation, management and prioritization helping to ensure the vision is delivered.
- Help the teams choose the appropriate agile practices, tools and techniques to deliver value.
- Help the teams continuously improve and adopt an empirical approach - coach the team in how to measure and track their delivery in order to identify areas for improvement.
- Facilitate the agile ceremonies.
- Challenge existing processes and work with people outside the team to update them if they are slowing the team down or not adding the most value for everyone.
- Facilitate the alignment and communication, as appropriate, across all the product teams.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Essential
- Experience of setting up a new team through the phases of the Tuckmans model (Forming, Storming, Norming, and Performing).
- At least 5+ years' experience working as a delivery manager in an agile environment, preferably in a variety of situations.
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Confluence, Kanban and Scrum
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle
- Experience facilitating the planning of agile developments based on Objectives and Key Results.
- Good knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
- Understands iterative and incremental development.
Desirable
- Certified delivery manager/scrum master practitioner
- SaaS or PaaS industry experience
- Worked in an environment that has moved from On Premise products to Public Cloud
- Experience working with full stack teams.
