The department delivers innovative products and services to frontline staff working on over 6,000 projects throughout every Region and Global Practice. Our teams support and enable Bank priorities, boost operational efficiency and effectiveness, and facilitate Operational knowledge discovery. Description of the position:

• Backend engineer with a strong focus on Node.js, TypeScript, and building scalable, maintainable backend systems.
• Experienced in designing clean software architectures, applying best practices, design patterns, and ensuring long‑term system reliability.
• Skilled in developing high‑quality RESTful services, with attention to performance, security, and clear API structure.
• Comfortable working in CI/CD‑driven environments, automating workflows, and ensuring smooth delivery pipelines.
• Adept at collaborating in Agile/Scrum teams, contributing to planning, refinement, and cross‑functional communication.
• Customer‑oriented mindset, ensuring technical solutions align with business goals and user needs.
• Capable of working in large enterprise landscapes, handling complex systems, integrations, and multi‑service environments.
• Open to cloud‑native development, with growing experience in GCP and interest in Kubernetes‑based deployments.

Your Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in backend development with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture and modern backend design principles.
• Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
• Hands‑on experience with Swagger/OpenAPI, Jenkins, and Linux environments.
• Proficient with GitHub, Jira/ADO, and working in Scrum teams.
• Fluent in English and Bulgarian.
• Optional experience in large‑scale enterprise projects.
• Optional knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCE); Kubernetes is a plus.
• Degree in Informatics or a comparable technical field.
