We are seeking a QA Engineer responsible for automated test strategy, execution and quality gates across the team's development output prior to release.

This is your job:

• Design, implement and maintain automated test suites (preferably using Bruno and Supertest).
• Own test planning, test case documentation and error/root-cause analysis for identified defects.
• Participate in QA review meetings prior to deployment and validate E2E test execution.
• Drive self-initiated improvements to the team's test coverage and quality processes.
• Be online, accessible and responsive during core working hours, 08:00–17:00 CET/CEST.
• Actively participate in technical and non-technical team discussions, sprint ceremonies and planning.
• Produce high-quality code following agreed CDE team conventions (naming, folder structure, formatting, security).
• Fulfil the team's Definition of Done for every backlog item before closure.
• Maintain up-to-date technical and process documentation (e.g., Confluence) for any breaking change, new API, or architectural update.
• Keep ticket status current at least every other day while work is in progress.
• Communicate proactively: flag blockers early, report absences/out-of-office in the calendar and collaborate across teams and disciplines (T-shaped skills encouraged).

Your qualifications:

• Development background, preferably in TypeScript or Python.
• Working experience with automated testing tooling (preferably Bruno and Supertest), documentation, test case design, test planning and error analysis.
• Working experience with Agile delivery, GitHub, Jenkins, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience operating in large-scale datacenter/cloud/network environments.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or a related technical/science field.

General Requirements:

• Bulgaria; available for on-site meetings in Sofia at least every second week.
• Fluent in English and Bulgarian.
• Experience with public cloud providers, preferably GCP (AWS/Azure also acceptable).
• Minimum ~4 years of relevant experience.
• Agile mindset — comfortable working in a trust-based, empowered, continuously-learning Scrum environment.
