We're seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to found the client's quality engineering team. 

In this role, you'll drive automated testing initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality. 

The ideal candidate combines strong programming skills in TypeScript/Python with expertise in test automation, bringing a methodical approach to quality assurance and a passion for building robust test frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks, primarily using Playwright.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and design test strategies.
  • Enhance test coverage and improve testing efficiency through innovative solutions.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs to resolution.
  • Debug complex issues across different environments.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure testability and quality. Mentor junior team members on best testing practices.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in software development and testing.
  • Strong programming skills in Typescript and/or Python.
  • Experience with UI and API automation frameworks, such as Playwright.
  • Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Understanding of SQL and using databases.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in fintech or financial services.
  • Knowledge of security testing and performance testing.
  • Docker container deployment through Cloud Run.
  • Experience with CircleCI and Cloud Scheduler/cron jobs.
