About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Director, the Operations and Planning Assistant will be responsible for the production  and packing schedule in the factory and packing areas, and for ensuring the sales office, production, and packing departments are aligned together to deliver to the 98% service level target.

Work closely (and visit) with outside agencies on packing and inventory flow

The role also will support the Directors and work with managers and other staff members to ensure that administrative tasks are followed up and completed on time.


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Support the work of the Production and Packing Supervisors to enable effective flow of work.
  • Work with sales office and packing dept re special orders scheduling 
  • To work with the warehouse on stock movement and levels
  • Organise and facilitate regular meetings of all stakeholders to ensure transparency and delivery of operational activities.
  • Assist the packing supervisor to ensure the workloads and labour plan are aligned.
  • Communicate with Customer Service and Sales, keeping all stakeholders informed of stock levels and production schedules.
  • To carry out any other tasks that may be required from time to time for the benefit of the company as a whole.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure that brought in goods are available to support the packing requirements

Qualifications: 

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in a planning role.
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy.
  • GCSE to min B in Maths and English.
  • Must be computer literate with Excel to a very good level.
  • High organizational skills, attention to detail & efficient, on-time reporting.

  • Ability to multi task.
