Diamond Search Recruitment are currently working with an award-winning and extremely successful Company based in Maidstone, and we are seeking a dedicated and organised individual to join the team as Finance Assistant to support with key financial and administrative activities in the team.

Responsibilities
- To accurately process customer receipts (BACS, cheques and credit card, online portal payments)
- To ensure customer receipts are received in a timely fashion, implementing dunning procedures on overdue payments and following escalation procedures where required
- To review credit ratings and deal with resolution/escalation of credit limit queries
- To process purchase invoices ensuring accuracy and appropriate authorisation, and maximise early
settlement discounts while having awareness of company cash flow - To process supplier payments (BACS) ensuring that accurate payments (including multi-currency) are made in a timely fashion
- To successfully resolve any purchase invoice queries, escalating or liaising with suppliers where appropriate
- To support Top Management prepare monthly, quarterly and annual accounts work including, but not limited, to monthly management accounts, VAT returns and Import Duty calculation and PSA.
- To assist in preparation for the statutory audit and assist with auditor queries as required
- To administer company credit cards and expenses, resolving user issues and contacting the bank where required
- To ensure bank accounts are reconciled and accurate
- To assist with improving processes within SAP and all areas of Finance
- To assist with ad hoc project
The Finance Assistant must be dedicated and organised, with a great attention to detail. The capability to diligently work to tight deadlines and deal with administrative tasks will be key for this individual. The Finance Assistant will ensure that success is achieved whilst being able to create and maintain clear, concise and organised records.
This role is essential to the Finance team and requires a person who can capably take on financial processes and confidently work with the wider team. The Finance Assistant must be confident and articulate and have an aptitude for finance and administration.
Skills Required
- 2 years’ experience in a relevant credit control position
- Knowledge of both sales and purchase ledger
- Knowledge of basic accountancy
- Proven experience of the credit control process
- Have the ability to work in a team
- Be a comfortable and confident communicator
- Capability to confidently use an ERP software
- Be adaptable and flexible to cope with a demanding workload
