Position Overview
- Job Title: Automotive Interior Parts Development Engineer
- Employment Type: Full-time / Permanent
- Work Location: Ciudad Juárez, Mexico (near the El Paso, Texas border) or Georgia/Alabama region, USA
Responsibilities
- Analyze customer (OEM/Tier 1) requirements and develop corresponding interior part designs
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications; prepare BOMs
- Coordinate prototype development and work closely with tooling/injection/machining processes
- Review development schedule and quality prior to mass production
- Communicate with customers and manage technical discussions
- Identify and implement solutions to address development issues
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive interior parts development
- Experience in customer communication and leading development projects
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting CAD drawings (Experience with CATIA, NX is a plus)
- Experience with quality documents (APQP, PPAP, etc.) is a plus
- Willingness to work overseas and ability to communicate in English preferred
