About the job MRO Team Lead
Position Summary
The MRO Team Lead is responsible for overseeing all technical and engineering activities related to the maintenance and improvement of production equipment. This position leads engineering projects, manages team members, and ensures optimal equipment performance while supporting cross-functional collaboration with other departments.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead new equipment installation and improvement projects.
- Define project scope, connect relevant personnel, and manage resources.
- Ensure project timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met.
- Provide engineering solutions for production equipment problems.
- Suggest improvements based on root cause analysis.
- Support production and maintenance teams with technical expertise.
- Maintain updated equipment manuals, SOPs, and training records.
- Prepare documentation for audits and compliance (ISO 13485 related).
- Monitor and report equipment status and financial records to related teams.
- Support safety audits and maintain related records for regulatory compliance (OSHA related).
- Conduct regular inventory checks for spare parts, tools, and supplies.
- Supervise and evaluate team members.
- Assign tasks and support members through coaching and motivation.
- Plan and maintain appropriate team size for operational goals.
- Create annual project plans and budget forecasts.
- Prepare ROI and cost-effectiveness reports for management.
- Collaborate with Finance and QM teams on project financials.
Education
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance or engineering field in a manufacturing environment
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role
- English and Korean bilingual (preferred)
- Hands-on experience with equipment installation, validation, or improvement projects preferred
- Experience in medical device manufacturing is preferred
- Proficiency in CAD software
- Knowledge of equipment installation, validation, and SOP development
- Intermediate understanding of ISO 13485 requirements
- Project budgeting and ROI analysis
- Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional prefered
- Six Sigma Certification prefered
- OSHA Safety Certificate prefered
- Project Management Professional prefered
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Analytical problem-solving
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
