Position Overview
We are seeking a highly capable HR leader to drive our people strategy, stabilize operations, and guide the organization through a critical growth stage. This role goes beyond administrative HR functions; it requires a strategic partner who can ensure compliance, develop scalable systems, and foster a high-performance culture in a dynamic startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the companys vision and business objectives
- Ensure full compliance with California and multi-state labor laws, tax regulations, and employment standards, proactively mitigating risks
- Build and optimize scalable HR operations, including payroll, benefits, performance management, and compensation structures.
- Strengthen employee relations by building trust, resolving conflicts, and driving employees engagement initiatives
- Lead end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning to support rapid business growth.
- Partner with executives to design organizational structures and support data-driven decision making.
- Drive compliance reporting, audits, and required filings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Startup, e-commerce, or food distribution/manufacturing industry experience
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of HR management experience with proven expertise in both strategic planning and hands-on execution
- Bilingual in Korean and English
- Strong understanding of California and multi-state employment laws, wage and hour regulations, and compliance requirements
- Demonstrated success implementing HR systems and scalable process in high-growth or startup environments
- Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills with a focus on building trust
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving organization with high levels of ownership and problem-solving skills.

- Location: Carson, CA
- Employment Type: Full-time, exempt
- Reports to: CEO
- Salary Range: $75,000 ~ $95,000
