Job Description

-Load, unload and transport construction materials

-Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades

-Mix, pour and spread materials
-Assist heavy equipment operators
-Pave and rake asphalt

-Assist in concrete constructions and demolition

-Clean and pile salvaged materials

-Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
-Take direction from supervisors to perform various labour tasks (i.e. perform setup and cleanup, jackhammering, pressure washing, pouring concrete)

-Work with minimal supervision



Requirements

-Education: Not required.

-Experience: Between 1-3 years of construction-related experience. On-the-job training will be provided. Tools experience is an asset,

-Drivers license: All workers must have a valid driver's license.

-Work conditions and physical capabilities:, Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling

-Personal Suitability: Initiative, Accurate, Judgment, Efficient interpersonal skills, Team player, Organized

- Work site environment: Outdoors, At heights, night work.Working outdoors in various weather conditions and on diverse terrain. Occasional night shifts and exposure to concrete dust (specialized PPE provided).

- Weight Handling: Frequent physical exertion, including lifting weights of 50 lbs or more.

- Language: Intermediate of English is required. Understand and take instructions with the team.

- Tools/ Machinery- uniforms: will be provided by the employer. Worker must have suitable clothing for winter and hot conditions. The candidate must bring their own Steel-Toe Boots.



Benefits

Benefits: Transportation to and from work sites provided by employer, and motel accommodation is provided by the employer when the workers have to work in different locations. Learning/training paid by employer. Accommodation provided by the employer when the workers are outside Kamploops. Specialized Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and living out allowance paid by the employer when they are out of town.

Overtime is paid when workers work over 44 hrs.


Important information: The typical schedule during projects includes 10 hours of work per day, 7 days a week. **We guarantee at least 30 hours of work per week during winter months**.

Schedule of work: 7:00 am - 5:00 PM

30 minutes lunch break unpaid

2 healthy- coffe breaks - Paid
