The Sponsor Bank Product and Implementation Manager plays a key role in managing end-to-end onboarding for fintech partners and helping to drive the sponsor banking product strategy. This hybrid role combines client onboarding, program management, and product lifecycle ownership. The Manager will lead implementations, act as the primary client contact, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the sponsor bank product offering. This role requires product management skills, including commercialization.  

What You Will Do:

  • Lead onboarding from contract execution through configuration, training, and activation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, sponsor banks, processors, and internal teams.
  • Manage multiple complex onboarding projects, ensuring alignment on timelines, deliverables, and compliance requirements.
  • Build project plans, track milestones, and drive deliverables to successful completion.
  • Help develop playbooks, and process improvements to support scalability and enhance client experience.
  • Identify and resolve implementation roadblocks, collaborating with risk, compliance, product, and operations teams.
  • Represent the client perspective during internal discussions to support onboarding success and long-term product satisfaction.
  • Act as a product owner for the sponsor bank onboarding experience, gathering client feedback and translating it into actionable product improvements.
  • Contribute to product roadmap planning by identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities based on client needs, competitive analysis, and regulatory developments.
  • Prioritize product features based on business impact, technical feasibility, and client value.
  • Own KPIs related to implementation success, client adoption, and time-to-activation, using insights to refine both processes and product strategy.

What You Bring:

  • Strong conceptual understanding of BIN sponsorship, including operational and regulatory fundamentals.
  • Proven experience managing complex projects and leading product initiatives.
  • Experience gathering product requirements, writing user stories, and working closely with engineering, compliance, and operations teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and client-facing communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities independently while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • High technical aptitude and attention to detail, ensuring accurate execution of sponsor bank integrations and product specifications.
  • Proactive approach to issue resolution and collaboration.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and align efforts to business goals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Experience managing sponsor bank implementations or related financial services onboarding. (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with merchant acquiring, payment integrations, regulatory compliance, and core banking platforms.
