This sales director is responsible for driving revenue growth by selling payment and point-of-sale (POS) solutions to a diverse client base. The Director of Sales will cultivate relationships with existing customers while aggressively prospecting for new business opportunities. This position requires a proven ability to close deals, manage a sales pipeline, and consistently exceed revenue targets.
What You Will Do:
- Achieve or surpass sales goals by identifying and closing new business while maintaining a strong portfolio of existing clients.
- Strategically target high-value prospects and develop sales plans that align with company and customer growth objectives.
- Build and maintain strong business relationships, acting as a trusted advisor by providing insights, recommendations, and ongoing support.
- Research market trends and competitive offerings to effectively position products and solutions.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and ensure alignment with company revenue goals.
- Navigate complex sales environments, working with various stakeholders to drive deals to completion.
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of sales experience in the payments or POS industry.
- Payments and/or POS industry experience required, with an established network of contacts.
- Experience selling to financial institutions, payment processors, independent sales organizations (ISOs), or software providers within the payments space.
- Demonstrated success in both direct and indirect sales channels.
- Strong business development and negotiation skills, with a high close ratio.
- Ability to effectively sell in a competitive, results-driven environment.
- Skilled at working cross-functionally with internal teams, including product management, customer support, and finance.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions to key decision-makers.
- Ability to travel 30%+ of the time
