Accountant Receivable

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cloud SaaS Billing Specialist to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the accurate and timely billing of our SaaS products, ensuring revenue recognition compliance, and providing exceptional customer service related to billing inquiries. You will work closely with sales, customer success, and engineering teams to streamline billing processes and contribute to the overall financial health of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Generate and distribute accurate and timely invoices for SaaS subscriptions based on agreed-upon terms.
• Manage the billing cycle, including subscription setup, usage tracking, invoicing, and payment processing.
• Administer customer contracts and ensure accurate pricing, terms, and billing schedules are implemented in the billing system.
• Monitor billing system performance and troubleshoot any issues related to billing accuracy or system functionality.
• Process credit card payments, ACH transfers, and other payment methods, ensuring secure and compliant transactions.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve billing discrepancies promptly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer billing information in the CRM and billing systems.
• Ensure billing practices comply with revenue recognition standards (e.g., ASC 606).
• Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile billing data with revenue recognition reports.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to billing processes.
• Process Improvement:
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate billing processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Document and maintain billing procedures and workflows.
• Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and regulations related to SaaS billing.
• Generate regular billing reports, including revenue summaries, aged receivables, and customer churn analysis.
• Analyze billing data to identify trends and insights that can improve billing performance and reduce errors.
• Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed by the finance team.
• Work closely with sales, customer success, and engineering teams to resolve billing-related issues and improve customer satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders regarding billing matters.
• Support the implementation of new billing systems or integrations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in SaaS billing, accounts receivable, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of SaaS business models and billing practices.
• Proficiency in using billing software (e.g., Zuora, Chargebee, Recurly) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
