Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team and play a crucial role in our CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) implementation journey. This individual will be responsible for supporting the definition, implementation, and audit of quality assurance processes across our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of software development lifecycles, quality assurance methodologies, and experience working within a CMMI-driven environment. You will be a key contributor to building a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the definition, documentation, and implementation of quality assurance processes aligned with CMMI best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, testing, project management, etc.) to ensure process adherence and effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, templates, and checklists.
• Provide training and guidance to team members on established quality assurance processes.
• Plan, conduct, and document quality assurance audits to assess compliance with established processes and standards.
• Identify areas for improvement based on audit findings and recommend corrective actions.
• Track and monitor the implementation of corrective actions.
• Participate in internal and external audits as required.
• Define and collect relevant quality metrics to monitor process performance and identify trends.
• Analyze collected data and generate reports to communicate quality performance to stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development of dashboards and reporting tools to visualize quality metrics.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve quality assurance processes and methodologies.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest quality assurance trends and technologies.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all quality assurance activities, including audit reports, process descriptions, and training materials.
• Active participation in the CMMI implementation activities, including process gap analysis, documentation development, and training delivery.
• Support the preparation for CMMI appraisals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance, with a focus on software development.
• Experience working within a CMMI-driven environment is highly preferred.
• Experience with process definition, implementation, and audit.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
