Position: Restaurant Supervisor
Reports To: Restaurant Manager, Director of Food and Beverage

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the oversight and management of the Cafe specifically in relation to supervising the Café/Counter. This includes coordinating and working with the Kitchen Manager to ensure the highest level of customer service is maintained. This includes expediting and running food
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing and hiring of qualified staff
- Provide coverage during staffing shortages
- Provide support in expediting and running food when necessary
- Act as a positive influence by coaching, motivating and supporting employees
- Maintain employee attitude and morale by recognizing outstanding performance and service
- Demonstrates a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events
- Manages smooth transitions to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the store team.
- Develop and support a positive attitude toward The Black Dog
- Enforcement of company policies.
- Organization of daily Café duties
- Training and development of Cafe employees
- Logging/processing invoices and taking inventory
- Expense control
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment, tables, utensils, floor (to ensure safety), and sanitation regulations are met.
- Maximizes sales by providing excellent customer service.
- Act as problem solver and issue resolution person for escalated customer issues
- Package products for sale by removing products from trays, putting products in bags or boxes, printing label or price, and placing products in the display area.
- Filling supplies by getting supplies from the storage area.
- Operates a cash register as needed.
- Adheres to food handling guidelines and department maintenance and sanitation procedures.
Skills Required:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift/move 25lbs
- Actively support a culture of safety that includes, but is not limited to, food safety, team member safety and customer safety.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment, tables, utensils, floor (to ensure safety), and sanitation regulations are met.
Education / Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of food and beverage experience
- Minimum of 1 year of Cafe experience
